“ You can’t go back and change the beginning but you can start where you are and change the ending ”
CS Lewis
I am a qualified person-centred Counsellor with over 10 years experience across a range of interventions, including:
Here are some but not all of the issues that I have helped people with:
I obtained a Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Counselling skills (with Distinction) and a level 5 Advanced Diploma in integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy between 2009-2012 and have since qualified as a Mindfulness Teacher.
Specialising in Hypnotherapy with Counselling and Mindfulness. I feel proud to offer these interventions, being passionate about their effectiveness in equal measures.
I enjoy keeping up to date with the latest research and have a keen interest in neuroscience. I regularly attend courses to keep up with new developments and to enhance my learning.
Currently I am self-employed, but I also work at a local college teaching Mindfulness to adults. Previously, I was a volunteer Hypnotherapist for Anxiety UK and a Trustee for Mind.
I live in Northwich with my Husband and Cat. My Children have fled the nest, but they frequently return to raid the fridge and bring their washing.
Relaxation techniques that will narrow your focus to enable your therapist to place positive suggestions deep into the unconscious mind. This aids you to change your beliefs and patterns of behaviour that are holding you back.
Myth buster
Imagine embracing life in the here and now. Stop overthinking about the past or the future. Re-connect with the world around you with complete cognizance of all your senses and without self-judgement. Accepting and dealing with negative thoughts, feelings and emotions without aversion and to seize the day through total awareness, so that you respond rather than react to a situation. My course is a mix of Mindfulness based stress relief and mindfulness based cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT).
A set of techniques, including meditation that support you to increase your mind and body synergy, which in turn slows down your breathing and teaches you to be more intentionally aware and live in the moment.

Myth Buster No 1.
Although mindfulness meditation has its routes in Buddhism, in fact it has been used by many religions since ancient times. However, it is NOT a religious practice; it is secular. You don’t have to attend a temple, you only need a few minutes day and you can use it whilst going about your daily routine.
Myth Buster No 2.
It might also be described as, “hippy trippy” and not cool but mindfulness is practiced by people of all ages and walks of life. 1 example is in the world of sport, where keeping a calm control and focus is key to success. It is a take-away practice that you can use anytime, anywhere. It teaches you to be kind to yourself and through robust research, many people have stated that it has had life -changing effects on their mental health.
